Who are you?

My name is Joshua Frizzell I am from Chattanooga Tennessee originally. I am a dad to four beautiful daughters, a musician, a business owner, and a United States Air Force Veteran. I relocated to the Quad Cities four years ago and I am loving it.  I'm also in a Nine Inch Nails tribute band called "Copy of a" that you can check out here.

Why do you love hard rock?

My biological father committed suicide when I was six, leaving me to be raised by my grandparents. When I was 13 we learned that my grandfather had terminal cancer. He lived for a couple of hard years after that. That was the first time I sought and found refuge and healing in music, and it's something that has definitely always been there since. Music has without a doubt saved my life a few times. Music is there whenever everything else isn't.

Who is your favorite band/artist?

This is such a hard question. But after much thought, I'm going to have to go with Tool as my favorite artist. Maynard is probably the greatest vocalist of my generation and the other three musicians are some of the top talent in the world at their respective instruments. The close runner-up goes to Nine Inch Nails.

What is the best concert you've ever seen?

There are so many shows this one was hard too. But I think I will have to go with Rage Against the Machine, Nashville 1999.  The energy was insane and the performance was flawless.
