Every Friday at 6:00 p.m. you can host your hour on I-Rock 93.5 with our "I-Host" presented by Analog Pizza and Arcade.

You choose the playlist.  Then you come to the Rock & Roll Mansion and talk about the songs.  All you need to do is sign up here and then watch your email.  A lot of people are signed up but we'll get you in eventually!

Who are you?
Just a certified yogi who loves to rock. If you've never practiced yoga while listening to I-Rock, I highly recommend it. Grab a towel, and some water, stretch out on the mat, and get hard with our boy Ryan and 93.5. Or just 93.5. Ryan doesn't have to be there. I-Rock Yoga isn't like Goat Yoga. If Ryan's on your back while you're in downward dog Human Resources might need to get involved. Then again, if you signed the legal waiver before the class you knew what to expect.

...Sorry, what was the question again?

Who are you?
Oh, my name is Ami Violet!

Why do you love hard rock?
It's what makes my spirit come alive. All the guitars. The appropriately timed screams. I particularly love when the heavy melds into the melodic and back again. Always a reason to headbang.

Who is your favorite band/artist?
Jonny Craig. He's pretty versatile, crossing genres over the years, but according to my embarrassing yet factual Facebook status from 2010: I would marry his rock vocals and give birth to a million of his baby rock vocals just to make the music world a better place. Thankfully that's not necessary, as he kind of already spread his seed with all the different bands he's formed since then. And now as I-Host I can share his latest single from his new band Old Flame in my playlist. That's way better than a legally binding document and procreating with a disembodied voice! (I really want to make this a full circle moment coming back to I-Rock Yoga with Ryan. But the inappropriate reach required to achieve that would have Human Resources looking at me this time, and I don't even work here. So, moving on...)

What is the best concert you've ever seen?
Chris Cornell, Acoustic Higher Truth 2016 at the Overture Hall in Madison, WI. The atmosphere he created with his music, his voice, and his creativity, was something spiritual that will forever be ingrained in my memory. I don't care how many more concerts I go to, nothing will top it. Nothing could unless Chris himself came back.

My Playlist:

  1. Blackout - Versus Me
  2. Nothing Ever After - Illenium and Motionless in White
  3. Slow Burn - Wage War
  4. Save Yourself - Amira Elfeky
  5. Careful What You Wish For - Bad Omens
  6. Until We Break - From Ashes to New feat. Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire
  7. Brittle - lcon For Hire
  8. Recover - Point North
  9. Underneath - Phix, Ryan Oakes
  10. Sirens - Windwaker
  11. One More Day - We Came as Romans
  12. Pray - Jonny Craig, Old Flame
  13. Vibes - Adelita's Way
