It's another edition of New Music Monday.  Your chance to hear new music and tell me if you like the song.  And yes, I will listen to these poll results to determine if and how it plays on I-Rock 93.5.

This week we have a new song from Bring Me The Horizon.  Now in general, I'm a big fan of these guys.  When it comes time for concerts again I'd love to get them in town.  It's a high energy fantastic show.

Their new song is "Parasite Eve".  It is as timely a song as you can get.  All you have to do is read the first couple of lyrics.

I've got a fever, don't breathe on me
I'm a believer of nobody
Won't let me leave 'cause I've seen something
Hope I don't sneeze, I don't [*sneeze*]
Really we just need to fear something
Only pretending to feel something
I know you're dying to run
I wanna turn you around

If the title of the song is familiar to you, you might be a gamer.  Yes, according to NME.com, the band took the title from the old Playstation game.

“It was really weird,” Sykes admitted. “We’d heard about the pandemic in China, but then the similarities between what we were writing about started to become closer to reality. Every time there was a news story about it, we’d turn to each other and say ‘Parasite Eve’, not realizing the magnitude of it all.
