Quad Cities Quartet Five AM Drop New Single Bridging The Gap Between Rock and Hip Hop
If you haven't noticed in the past few months, the local music scene has been blowing up lately, and I-Rock 93.5 is here for it! With Battle of the Bands happening tomorrow at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds as well as a number of local venues featuring Quad Cities talent, we have no reason to see live music this coming spring and summer! Once such local band is Princeton, Illinois natives Five AM. These guys have a very unique sound (think Bring Me the Horizon meets The Weeknd) and have collaborated with talented artists like Kellen Quinn of Sleeping with Sirens.
Their new single Still just dropped today, and its a banger! Mixed by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Underoath, Dashboard Confessionals) its got a great sound that I think both heavy metal and hip hop fans can get into. The music video, which you can watch below is a continuation of their last music video for Say Less.
I was fortunate enough to catch Five AM at Skylark a few months ago and I will say from personal experience that they are a great band to see live. Anybody who knows me knows that I am totally into heavy metal and rock over hip hop and pop, but these guys put on such a great stage show, I had to give them a second listen, and I've been hooked on their sound ever since. If you're in the Sterling, Il are tomorrow night you have a chance to see them live for yourself alongside Sugarpill, Mccrae, and Half Catholic at The Starlight Theatre.
