When you mix a Friday night with four ripping metal bands at the Rust Belt with a hot sunny day and steamy night you get...a good time.

Trivium, Beartooth, Malevolence and Archetypes Collide were in East Moline with you and you left a lot of sweat on the floor.  Even though the A/C was running all day and night, it couldn't keep up with the mass of body heat that never stopped moving.

If you were deep in the pit or in the back looking through the haze of steam, below are some professional up-close pics to help you relive the night.

Archetypes Collide started the night with their heavy tunes but the heat didn't bother them.  They are from Phoenix.  You can also check out their interview and live acoustic song in the I-Rock 93.5 studio.

Malevolence

They came across the pond to East Moline and got you going.  Malevolence was pure metal energy with some of the biggest circle pits the Rust Belt has seen.  Check out what they looked like from the I-Rock 93.5 Clubhouse below.

Nonstop.  Caleb Shomo just never stopped moving, singing, screaming, rocking.  They are just going from start to finish.  The above shot was when Caleb went off stage and popped out the other side by the sound booth to rock in the middle of the crowd.

And how did he get back to the stage?  Not by going back through the back.  He went straight through the middle of the crowd where a lot of ladies tell me they got to touch his sweaty chest.  And it smelled good.

There is a reason these guys have been doing this for 20 years.  They sounded fantastic live.  Mixing songs from 20 years ago and new releases they fit in songs you know and ones you don't to bang out a master class in metal.

Also, shout out to Matt Heafy for stopping mid-song to stop a fight in the pit.  He said, "It's like trying to separate my 5-year-old twins.".  They got them separated, and then quickly picked up right where they left off.

On that note...have fun at these shows.  Get rowdy.  Be mindful of those around you.  Don't be a dick and start something.  These guys were lucky Matt stopped and got them calmed down cause normally security will toss your ass in a second for fighting.

Now, relive the rest of the show below with all the pictures from all four bands below and as always, we'll see you at the next one!
