This weeks I-Host 93.5 winner is bringing the new music this week!  Here is more about her and her kick-ass playlist to start your weekend.

Question one – Who are you?

Hi, I’m Stacey Plumb from Moline.  My passions are hockey, Dek Hockey and rock music.  You would never guess what I listen to by looking at me.  People that tell me I’m too old for this music or for concerts.  They say I’ll mellow out in my old age or I’ll listen to country someday.  Not happening…ever!  Most friends my age have no idea who most of my bands are but we do have our core group of concert friends and we still have fun!  **Shout out to Steve Plumb, Tom & Robin Markle, Shawn & Chrissy Deters, Justin & Marissa Plumb and Tiffany Thompson!

My dream job would be playing music for the Blackhawks home games.  Instead I have to settle for getting the occasional call up to play music for our annual high school hockey benefit games, commanding the Touch Tunes at local bars and winning contests like this!

Question two - Why do you love hard rock?

I think the love for hard rock is just in me.  Most people say they listen to everything.  That’s not me.  It’s hard rock all the way – preferably new hard rock.  The old stuff is great but I always want something new.  There’s great stuff out there that a lot of people don’t know about since we didn’t have a rock station for so long and I’m here to share some of my recent favorites today.

Question three – Who is your favorite band/artist?

My favorite bands always change over the years because I’m always listening to new music.  Going way back I loved Guns n Roses and Metallica but not so much anymore.  I’ll always love the classics like Linkin Park, Korn, Seether (very underrated) and Godsmack (with my rockstar boyfriend….even though he stood me up at our meet and greet).  My current other favorites are bands like Bring Me the Horizon, I Prevail and Motionless in White.  (Check out the song Gasoline from I Prevail on their new album. It’s so new we couldn’t play it for you today. It’s my current favorite and it’s BAD ASS!)

My all-time favorite is Papa Roach.  They’ve been around for over 20 years and they never stop putting out great music.  I don’t think people realize just how many great songs this band has.  Album after album, it’s just solid good hard rock.  If you’ve ever seen them in concert you know.  They go all out - every single time.  I’ve probably seen them more than any other band and they’ve never had a mediocre show.  Jacoby Shaddix is amazing and down to earth.  Watch the way he treats and interacts with his fans.  They are the real deal.

Question four – What is the best concert you’ve ever seen?

This is such a hard question. Concerts are my favorite thing to do so it’s hard to pick a favorite.  The ones that stand out are usually the smaller venue shows.  We’ve seen Rob Zombie a ton of times but the show at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines was amazing.  It was our son’s first time seeing him and Rob came out in the crowd and was singing right by us.  We saw Motionless in White, Atreyu and Wilson at a small venue in Madison and we were 2nd row from the stage singing every song.  It was so good!  Then there was that one time I jumped from my front row seat down to the floor when the security guards weren’t looking and ran all the way to the front by myself for Papa Roach.

Asking Alexandria – Into the Fire

Badflower – Jester

Puddle of Mudd – Uh Oh

Hollywood Undead – Already Dead
