It's time to get off the couch and get back to work.  Companies are hiring.  A lot.  Or maybe you are just looking for something new, well now is the time to find a new job.

If you have listened to I-Rock 93.5 over the last month (you better have) you have heard one of the many commercials for businesses in the Quad Cities looking to hire.  A year ago at this time those commercials weren't running.  The commercials a year ago were "if you're out of work and need help".  Now they are "we're hiring!" and that is so much better.

According to Wallethub, there are currently 9.7 million Americans unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic with an unemployment rate nationwide of 6%.  There were 547,000 new unemployment claims nationwide last week, which is a lot fewer than the 6.1 million during the same time last year.
