Just a few months ago, news broke that a popular discount clothing store was closing in Minnesota. Now, it seems like the bad news is spreading to Illinois.

Popular T.J. Maxx Store in Minnesota Is Officially Closed

I know when I heard the news that a T.J. Maxx store was closing in Minnesota, my heart sunk a bit. Jobs are gone, fans of the store have to go through their own closure, and there is the potential for another building to sit empty. The last few years have been traumatizing for our economy and every empty storefront is just a reminder of what has been lost.

All of those thoughts went through my head when I heard that the T.J. Maxx at 1410 University Ave. West in St. Paul, Minnesota was planning to close around October 8th.

Popular Illinois T.J. Maxx Store Will Be Closing After the Holidays

Unfortunately, the closures of this popular discount store haven't stopped. If you live in the Chicago area, a store you may want to check out for amazing deals before the holidays is the T.J. Maxx at 1008 S. Canal Street. According to a story on 1520 The Ticket, the T.J. Maxx at this location will be shuttering on January 6th, 2024.
