Get ready Illinois, the New McDonald’s $5 Meal is Coming Soon!
We have all been complaining for years that fast food prices are getting too high, McDonald's heard our cries and is ready to launch a new $5 value meal, here is what you can expect when it comes to a McDonald's near you...
According to an article from NBC Chicago, McDonald's new $5 value meal will debut on Tuesday, June 25th, and it will include a McDouble OR McChicken, a Small Drink, Small Fries, AND a 4-piece Nugget.
In the article, they say "In addition to the $5 meal deal, the company noted franchisees across the U.S. are offering their own specials, including some like "buy one get one for $1 breakfast sandwiches" or mix and match deals and more. Customers will need to check deals at their local McDonald's to find out if any are being offered." To read more about the new $5 value meal deal at McDonald's, click here!

Here is how you get your value...
I will admit, this deal is good value, the small fries and small drink is a bummer, would be wayyyyy better if it was a medium fry and medium drink. BUT...If you eat in McDonald's you can get refills that solves the drink dilemma, so that would be the way to make this a real value meal. Can I just add, I truly miss the OG Dollar Menu, it was fantastic to go to McDonald's with $5 in your pocket and leave with 2 McDoubles and 2 McChickens, we truly don't appreciate the world we live in until it's gone...
