If You Stayed in this Missouri Jail, You Might Be Rich
I don't want to get your hopes up, but I can legitimately say that if you stayed in a certain Missouri jail, you might be owed some money. Who would have known that spending time behind bars could be such a money-making opportunity?
I found this interesting Missouri jail fact on the Missouri sub-Reddit. It says that if you stayed in the St. Ann, Missouri jail between August 9, 2011 and November 14, 2022, you could get money from a class action settlement.

I'm not sure what the St. Ann, Missouri jail did to deserve a possible payout, but the class action website is legitimate. What is this lawsuit all about? The official site says it's "based on non-payment of a monetary sum arising out of a municipal ordinance violation". I'm not a lawyer, but if it means money to you, all the better.
The chance that your Missouri jail time could lead to a paycheck is the good news. The bad news is you don't have much time to file a claim. The deadline is Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. The class action site says "the Court has not ruled on the merits of Plaintiffs’ claims". What? You mean we stayed in a Missouri jail for nothing? Darn the luck.
If you really did spend time in the St. Ann, Missouri jail, best to look at all the details for yourself and decide if you want to get in on this potential payout. And they say crime doesn't pay.
