Can I now say "I've seen it all?" There is a bronze statue of poop on display in a Chicago neighborhood. AtlasObscura
Most neighborhoods in Illinois that are highly populated with dog walkers, usually have a sign reminding folks to pick up their pet's #2. Every once in a while you will get a box or plastic bags on a sign, to scoop the poop.
Artist Jerzy S. Kenar constructed a giant bronze statue, the "S**T Fountain" to remind neighborhood folks to clean up after their pets. This is described as a "winking tribute" the the local dogs that have walked and pooped on his flowers. So that deserves a bronze statue apparently. I'm sure the dogs, appreciate it? Maybe?
So what do the neighbors think? Apparently they love it. No one has said s**t about it, as it lights up this private property.
Artist Jerzy S. Kenar is a well known Chicago artist that is best knows for political and religious pieces of...art. I'd say this is slightly different than the rest, maybe.
This art is, well, something...But let's rejoice in the fact that not only is it a unique piece of...art, but it is a fountain as well. I running, working, water filled fountain. In this video you can see the fountain's water run down the sides of the...art.
Some call it poop, some call it the other word. Jerzy S. Kenar calls it, art.
