Silent Triangle-Shaped Object Spotted Over Illinois

Many don't take reports of unidentified flying objects seriously which is understandable considering some of the outrageous stories that have been shared over the years. However, someone who lives near an airport that understands what conventional crafts look like has just reported what they believe was a black triangle-shaped craft flying silently over Illinois.

This new report to the National UFO Reporting Center comes from Elk Grove, Illinois. Here's a snippet of their eyewitness testimony of what they said they saw around 8:35pm local time on October 1, 2026:

"I was sitting in a chair in my bedroom when I suddenly saw a low-flying, completely silent aircraft. It appeared to be triangular in shape, but the edges were very smooth and rounded. Each side of the craft had solid, bright white lights...It was flying extremely low just above the trees maybe 100 feet in the air and moving far too quickly to be a typical airplane or helicopter, yet it made absolutely no sound...I live near O’Hare Airport, so I see and hear aircraft on a regular basis and am very familiar with what they typically look and sound like. Whatever I saw tonight did not appear to be a conventional airplane or helicopter."

What type of aircraft is triangular in shape with smooth, rounded edges?

JetZero and Airbus have developed manta-ray-shaped BWB prototypes aimed at reducing fuel emissions, but I believe those are all in the prototype stages of development. Could it be that one of these vehicles was being given a test flight? It's the only conventional aircraft design that I've been able to locate that could explain what this Elk Grove, Illinois resident witnessed without going into the realm of extraterrestrial crafts.
