As we recently shared with you, there are a lot of interesting facts about the Quad Cities. You can check out the 100 we wrote about right here. You want to learn more and see more, there is a great Facebook page you should like to fill your news feed with more than your relative's hot takes.

The name of the page is "Retro Quad Cities". They say that they are "A region-wide community of folks sharing and discussing, history, photos and pop culture of the Quad Cities and surrounding areas historic past."

The majority of posts on this page are old photos of the Quad Cities. Come for the photos, stay for the comments. With 50,000 people already liking the page, it seems like every photo that is posted somebody chimes in with a "My Grandpa built that place" or a "I was born there!". Somebody always adds more to the story which, at the end of the day, is what social media is supposed to be all about.

Retro Quad Cities is owned and created by Chuck Henson and is an equal team effort with the greatest duo known to mankind, David Sebben and Shannon Hall, but the biggest contributors are you! This is a place to share photos & memories and pop culture of the Quad Cities area. I encourage others to share their photos and thoughts of the past. Some pictures I post I do not have all the backstory or history but rely upon the pages followers to fill in the gaps and to add memories. We do post "Retro" photos and pop culture that is regional and not just the Metro Quad Cities.

I don't know what it is about this era of both architecture and photo color but absolutely love it. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and steaks at Dipsy Doodle.

Tis the season...although I think Santa needs to eat a bit more to really fill out his holly jolly from this one in 1945.

Of course the Quad Cities is all about bridges. This is an awesome shot from 1935 looking into Bettendorf.

What The Quad Cities Did For Fun in the 90's

Many times over the years, I'll be talking with friends about years gone by and I'll say "take me back".

Every generation goes through this, I assume. Looking back at a more simple time where responsibilities haven't set in and life seems fun. Opportunities are endless.

Let's go back to the 1990's to Wacky Waters, 50 Cent Beer night and revisit Mallards Mania!
