A Very Special Edition of I-Host With Cullen From Sleep Theory [Audio]
Every Friday at 6:00 p.m. you can host your hour on I-Rock 93.5 with our "I-Host" presented by Analog Pizza and Arcade.
You choose the playlist. Then you come to the Rock & Roll Mansion and talk about the songs. All you need to do is sign up here and then watch your email.
Once in a while, we get special I-Hosts in and this week was definitely special. Cullen from Sleep Theory picked the music below and joined us to talk about these bands, his band, and the show tomorrow night (December 7) at The Rust Belt with Daughtry.
Cullen Moore of Sleep Theory
You can listen to the full conversation below, but you just won't be able to hear the songs that Cullen played. I can't put those on the recording...you know...the whole copyright thing.
Cullen and Sleep Theory will rock the Rust Belt for the I-Rock 93.5 Not So Silent Night tomorrow (December 7) with Daughtry and Devour The Day. You can still get your tickets here and at the door or at Coop Records in Moline.
LISTEN TO MORE: SLEEP THEORY EXTENDED INTERVIEW AND LIVE I-ROCK 93.5 STUDIO PERFORMANCE
Unlike one of our regular I-Hosts, Cullen didn't answer the standard questions...cause we talked. So here is the playlist along with some of what he said in the interview.
Cullen's Playlist:
1 - Sleep Theory - Stuck In My Head
Cullen said that "Stuck In My Head" has been one of their most popular songs since its release, and the crowd interaction during the live shows has been great.
Last time we saw Sleep Theory they played with Wage War. Cullen said that he hung out with them on tour they played a lot of Mario Kart together. But the Wage War fellas are next level when it comes to Mario Kart.
2 - Wage War - Blur
There is some controversy about Cullen's next song. He said, "This is the first song I've heard by Knocked Loose and it's really cool and caught my ear." The controversy came from a live performance on Jimmy Kimmel in which some fans of his show complained about the song.
3 - Knocked Loose featuring Poppy - Suffocate (Live version)
4 - Falling In Reverse - Ronald
Was happy to see some new Linkin Park on Cullen's setlist so I could ask him, "What do you think of the new Linkin Park?".
Cullen said, "I think that it's different and refreshing. With time people can get used to the change. People don't like change. The reason I picked this song is because it reminded me of old Linkin Park."
5 - Linkin Park - Two Faced
6 - Nevertel - Losing Faith
Cullen brought some new music for you as the I-Host. He said, "We are really close with them. Love those guys. I think they are killing it and the song is a banger."
7 - Poppy - The Cost Of Giving Up
8 - Beartooth - Riptide
If you are ever in a band and join us to I-Host, you should play your own music. So Cullen ended things with their latest "Paralyzed".
He said, "It's one of our favorite songs to perform live. A lot of people wanted something a bit heavier from us. We wrote this song with it being a bit more heavy in mind but still having that staple Sleep Theory sound."
9 - Sleep Theory - Paralyzed
Take a listen to the full conversation with Cullen from Sleep Theory below (minus the music which you can only hear at 6pm tonight) and then join us at The Rust Belt Saturday, December 7 to rock with them and Daughtry. Ho Ho Ho!
