Question one - Who are you?

I am a guy who wears many hats. I’m a father, a husband, an improviser with The Nightcaps, and the best-smelling guy at a Walmart on a Friday night. Some people call me Kanye Westend, and others call me Luke Combover, but you can call me Ryan Oh.

Question two - Why do you love hard rock?

Where do I begin? It’s gotta be the raw power, energy, and emotion with hard rock and heavy metal. You can literally play hard rock for any scenario in your life, ya know? Going to Hyvee? Perfect to throw on some Beer by Psychostick or Bacon Basher by Pitlord. Maybe your grandma passed away? No problem, here comes South of Heaven or Cemetery Gates.  Alright, you get the idea.

Question three - Who is your favorite band/artist?

That’s a tough one for me, so I’ll give you my top 5 in no particular order.

  • Slipknot
  • CKY
  • At All Cost
  • System of a Down
  • Bleeding Through

Question four - What is the best concert you've ever seen?

Man, you guys are hitting me with the tough ones tonight.  Slitheryn played at Lumpys back in 03, and because of that, I was able to meet my future wife (and current) that night.

Runner up would be back in 06, going to some random kid's house in Moline and seeing At All Cost perform in his basement.

My Playlist:

  1. CKY - Escape From Hellview
  2. Slipknot - Left Behind
  3. The Mars Volta - The Widow
  4. Pitlord - Bacon Basher
  5. The Black Dahlia Murder - What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse
  6. At All Cost - The Irony
  7. System of a Down - Holy Mountain
  8. Phantom Threat - The Thin Crust Of An Oracle's Blood
  9. Ptich Black Manor - All Hallows Eve
  10. Avenged Sevenfold - Second Heartbeat
  11. Grim Reaper - Rock You To Hell
  12. Del Rockford - The Month of Walter's Halloween
  13. As I Lay Dying - Forever
