Question one - Who are you? My name is McKenzie, but I prefer Kenzie, Ryan's favorite listener.
Question two - Why do you love hard rock? Hard rock music has taken me to a new level of peace that I haven't felt with any other music genre.
Question three - Who is your favorite band/artist? My all time favorite of all time, is Falling In Reverse. Problematic Jerks are kinda my type.
Question four - What is the best concert you've ever seen? Best concert of all time, had to be my most recent one, Falling in Reverse (go figure), Hollywood Undead, and Sleep Theory. Something about being around 15,000 who are there for the same reason, loving the same people you do. Warms my cold heart.
My name is Megan. I moved to the QC in April of 2024, but I’m originally from Monmouth. I am a mama to 2 rambunctious boys, and in my spare time, I like to watch ANYTHING true crime/horror related.
I love hard rock because I grew up in a house where music was always playing—my parents were huge into oldies rock, so bands like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and Fleetwood Mac were basically the soundtrack to my childhood. Those sounds just stuck with me. As I got older, I started chasing heavier riffs and louder guitars, and that’s how I fell in love with hard rock. For me, it’s more than just music—it’s memories, it’s energy, and it’s this connection to both where I came from and where I am now.
My favorite band has to be 3 Days Grace. Their music has been with me through so many phases of life. What I love most is how they mix that heavy, hard-hitting sound with lyrics that are real and emotional. They’ve got songs that make you want to scream in the car, and others that hit you right in the gut when you need it. For me, they’re that perfect mix of intensity and honesty, and that’s exactly why I can listen to them on repeat.
Hands down, the best concert was Devour the Day, Sleep Theory, and Daughtry at the Rust Belt last year. A smaller venue, huge sound, and that intense energy you only get when you’re shoulder to shoulder with the music.
