Davenport & Rock Island Red, White & Boom Reschedule Announced
The Quad Cities largest firework display has just been announced to be rescheduled, after a postponement due to predicted flooding along the Mississippi River.
The announcement came last Tuesday via the Red White and Boom website, which had the message change to announce the postponement around 10:30am.
The new date has been set for Saturday, September 7th, 2024. According to the website, "The event and fireworks display will be held in downtown Davenport and Rock Island with fireworks at dusk. That evening, there will be family-friendly activities in LeClaire Park in Davenport and Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island. The Quad Cities River Bandits game will be held that night at Modern Woodmen Park."
