Becky In Black’s Top 10 New Rock Songs of 2024
Every Friday night at 8:00 you can hear Becky in Black with her Brand New Bangers on I-Rock 93.5. She's played a lot of new stuff this year. But what are her Top 10 songs of the year? Glad you asked...cause here you go.
Wage War – Magnetic
Wage War is at the top of the list of bands who have figured out the formula for writing songs with super catchy choruses and even heavier breakdowns. In my opinion, Magnetic was the metalcore anthem of 2024, for people who don’t like anthems.
Ice Nine Kills – Meat & Greet
As always, Spencer Charnas and company takes his love of horror to a new level with this song inspired by The Silence of the Lambs. Can you hear them screaming, Clarice?
Daughtry – Artificial
Known mainly for his performances on American Idol, Artificial made it well known that Chris Daughtry can be just as heavy as the rest of them.
Dorothy – Mud
A LOT of female voices were on the rock charts this year, and Dorothy hung in there with the best of them for most of 2024. This song really showcases her voice's grittiness and vocal range.
Falling in Reverse – Ronald
What can you say about Ronnie Radke that he hasn’t said about himself already? This collab with Tech N9ne and Alex Terrible, aptly named Ronald, definitely speaks for itself.
Sleep Theory – Fallout
We first met Sleep Theory when had just a handful larger shows under their belts. Just two years later, they have finished a European tour and have quickly made a name for themselves among rock’s heaviest hitters.
Halestorm/I Prevail – Can You See Me in the Dark?
2024 was the year of collaborations between artists, and it’s definitely been six degrees of I Prevail. This one with Halestorm gets my vote for sure.
From Ashes to New – Barely Breathing feat Against the Current
A band that we saw live not once, but twice in 2024. I think it’s safe to say the guys kinda like the Quad Cities.
Nothing More – If It Doesn’t Hurt
Reached number one on the active rock charts in June, just a month after they played The Rust Belt alongside Wage War. Coincidence? I think not.
Linkin Park – The Emptiness Machine
Love it or hate it, this song brought new life back into Linkin Park in 2024, and they haven’t slowed down since. Heavy is the Crown is a VERY close second, but The Emptiness Machine is the one that kept the internet buzzing for months.
We look forward to more Brand New Bangers with Becky in Black in 2025!
