Eastern Iowa Chili Cook-Off Raises Money For Local Non-profit

There's nothing better during an Iowa winter than a delicious bowl of chili. Now, chili can be made in so many different ways and almost all of those ways are delicious.

This weekend, you'll be able to try many variations of chili at an annual chili cook-off in Davenport. This chili cook-off not only showcases numerous chili recipes, but it also raises money to support an incredible, local non-profit.

Hand in Hand Chili Cook-off

The 15th annual Hand in Hand Chili Cook-off is this Saturday, February 3rd, at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds (2815 Locust Street) in the Fair Center. The fun begins at 3 p.m. when more than 15 teams compete to be the best.

Besides many different types of chili, there is also a silent auction, raffle prizes, kid's games, and more. Raffle tickets are either $5 or $20. These are the $5 raffle prizes:

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids 5-12, and under 5 is free. All proceeds benefit the organization that puts this on, Hand in Hand.
