Iowa State Fair Is Bringing You More Rock With Disturbed and Chevelle
The Iowa State Fair is August 11-21 with all the food, drinks, rides, and of course music that we expect at our summer fairs. This year, the Iowa State Fair will have two nights of rock as they have announced one of the nights will be filled by Disturbed and Chevelle.
The Iowa State Fair is the single largest event in the state of Iowa attracting more than a million people from all over the world. The Iowa State Fair takes place in Des Moines at the fairgrounds located at 3000 East Grand Avenue.
Skillet, August 11 at the Iowa State Fair
The fair actually starts with rock as well. Skillet with special guest Dante Bowe will open the grandstand on August 11. Tickets for the multiplatinum artists start at $30 with those closer tickets at $55.
Yes, for those of you that are used to going to the Mississippi Valley Fair, the Iowa State Fair sells tickets for individual days. So if you want to see Skillet start the show and then Disturbed, later that week, you'll have to buy tickets for both nights.
Disturbed and Chevelle, August 19 at the Iowa State Fair
Disturbed will crank up the rock eight days later at the Iowa State Fair with a Friday night show that will open with Chevelle. While Disturbed has not been in the Quad Cities in a while, Chevelle was most recently at The Rust Belt as the headliner for an amazing show. They will also be opening for Korn on March 25 at the TaxSlayer Center.
Tickets for Disturbed and Chevelle are on sale now starting at $40 and going up to $85 for the best ones. And before you start adding up what you have to spend, remember that the grandstand ticket does not include fair admission. So you'll have to spend another $9 per ticket for fair admission (when you buy in advance) or $14 per ticket at the gate.
We may be cold now, but summer and all the fun events are coming with it. Including all the fairs and all the live rock. Let's go.
