Crash in Davenport Sends Three Children To Hospital
On Tuesday night, a crash in Davenport disrupted traffic and sent three children to the hospital, with the driver's whereabouts unknown.
According to eyewitness reports, the vehicle was traveling east on Locust at a high rate of speed and crossed into the westbound lane before attempting to turn north onto Eastern Avenue, but lost control and crashed into the landscaping on the northeast corner of the intersection.
Witnesses said that the vehicle's tail end went airborne before landing on the opposite side of the traffic signal's pole.
According to witnesses, the driver assisted three children from the vehicle, who were taken away by ambulance. The driver reportedly fled the scene.
The crash occurred around 7:35pm.
