Mudvayne started in Peoria in 1996 with Chad Gray on vocals, Greg Tribbett on guitars, Matthew McDonough on drums, and originally Shawn Barclay on bass. Shawn would be replaced by Ryan Martinie in 1997 while the band was recording their EP.
It was in 2000 that Mudvayne's debut album "L.D. 50" would hit with the award-winning "Dig" and the "Brbr Deng" would be born.
After 9 years and 5 albums, the band would go on a hiatus for over a decade. On April 19, 2021, the band announced they were reunited and rumors of new Mudvayne music continue to keep us all Brbr Denging.
Coal Chamber got their start back in 1993 and much like Mudvayne took a break for nearly a decade, and then again for almost 6 years.
But now, the band is back together with original members Dez Faara on vocals and Miguel Rascon on guitars. Nearly original member Mike Cox on drums who has been with the band since 1994. And Nadja Peulen on bass who has been on and off with Coal Chamber since 1999.
Prepare earthlings of Illinois. GWAR is coming.
Gwar, and its many different variations, have been rocking and terrorizing the planet since 1984. And really, if you don't know about GWAR, just check them out and get ready for a show and experience like no other.
The lineup of bands formed in the late 90s continues as Nonpoint will join the party. Rock fans in the Quad Cities are familiar with the quintet as they just rocked the Rust Belt to end 2022. Now they will help get the party started for the Psychotherapy Session in Peoria.
Butcher Babies are led by frontwomen Heidi Sheperd and Carla Harvey. With influences from Pantera and Guns N' Roses to Slayer and Slipknot, Butcher Babies continue to carve out their own metal sound and style.
You can see all five bands, on August 9th at The Peoria Civic Center for "The Psychotherapy Sessions". Tickets are on sale right here. And sign up below to win your tickets for an amazing homecoming from your concert leader, I-Rock 93.5.
