The benefit will happen in the Annex building in Erie. Events to be held include a meat raffle, basket raffle, and live auction. If you want to bring kids, there will be a kids zone that will feature games, face painting, and a bounce house. There will also be a bake sale and concessions.
You will have the option to make donations at the door if you would like and there will be a meal that will be donations only as well. All of the proceeds from this event will go to help the victim's daughters. As the Facebook event puts it, it will be "an afternoon of fun, love, and good food".
Meanwhile, the legal proceedings are continuing for the victim's boyfriend, Logan Paul Voss of Goose Lake, IA. Voss has a preliminary hearing on Friday, Feb. 25. His bond was set at $50,000 and he is facing a Class B felony charge of homicide by vehicle-operating under the influence in connection with his girlfriend's death, which could carry with it 25 years behind bars.
