A popular restaurant in the Village of East Davenport has closed its doors.

Bayside Bistro announced the closure today (Tuesday) in a Facebook post, which also mentioned that they're not going to be leaving Davenport, just the Village location.

The post also said that they're looking for another location in Iowa and will announce it when the time is right.

Meanwhile, they're still open in Rock Island (at 2704 18th Avenue) and you can also find them at Freight House Farmers' Market. The closure in Davenport is effective immediately but they will have a customer appreciation day at the Davenport location soon.

As WHBF reports, Bayside Bistro just recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Rock Island location, which used to be a Godfather's Pizza. Its spot at the Freight House Farmers' Market is a smoothie stand.

Bayside Bistro is a family-owned business. The restaurant's food is made from scratch and its menu includes many kinds of sandwiches and smoothies. Their menu in Rock Island includes seafood dishes, sandwiches, a vegetarian menu, sides, and more. Bayside Bistro's Davenport location had been in the Village of East Davenport since 2018 and there was no reason given in the post for the closure of the Davenport spot. This week, they'll be serving smoothies and food at the John Deere Classic.

The post adds that there will be updates in the next few weeks so to keep up with more updates on Bayside Bistro's new location and their next steps, follow Bayside Bistro on Facebook. You can learn more about Bayside Bistro on their website.
