After This Extreme Heat Warning What Will MVF 2026 Weather Be Like?
The Mississippi Valley Fair will happen August 4th through the 9th—the heart of summer. So we know it's going to be hot. But just how hot? As long as there are no storms, right?
I think many in the Quad Cities would take a little rain over the extreme heat warning we are currently in. The Quad Cities extreme heat warning remains in effect until 10:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27. Temps are once again expected to reach 93 degrees on Monday, but with the oppressive humidity, it will feel more like 115.
Over the past few years we've had some hot days at the fair, but nothing like that.
What To Expect For Weather At The Mississippi Valley Fair
If you swing by at noon to grab some lunch, it's going to be warm. Again, it's August. But nights at the Grandstand might not be that bad this year.
As of now (July 27), things are looking pretty good according to the National Weather Service.
- August 4 - High of 87
- August 5 - High of 82
- August 6 - High of 85
- August 7 - High of 86
- August 8 - High of 87
- August 9 - High of 85
And each night we'll see lows around 64-67. So while there will be humidity (we are in corn sweat season), it shouldn't be as rough as it is right now.

While these temps shouldn't change drastically, there could be a few degrees warmer or cooler. If these temps are still toasty for you, stop by our tent by the pavilion to cool down with the giant AC system we'll have thanks to Precision Air!
The one part of Quad Cities summer weather that is harder to predict this far out is the rain. Right now, the days have anywhere from a 13% to 24% chance of rain. So we should stay dry. But keep an eye on it as we get closer to the 2026 Mississippi Valley Fair.
