There's a headline, I never thought I'd write. But there's a TV commercial airing that I never thought I'd see.

The commercial is for Garden of Life Probiotics for Women created by ad agency, Humanaut  launched "Poopowerment," an ad about a product that can help women......poop. It's a full :60 seconds of a male voiceover kind of having trouble talking about pooping and cuts of 'real' women basically saying, 'get over yourself-women poop' and 'come on, it's 2021-it's time we talk about 'POOP.'

If you took a shot of alcohol each time the word, 'poop' is mentioned in the ad, you'd probably be drunk before the end of :60 seconds.

I bet you're thinking, 'what's the big deal about saying the word, "poop?" It shouldn't be a big deal, but it didn't sit well with viewers in some markets. It's funny to watch the edited commercial which cuts out all the mentions of the 'P' word. Here's the edited version.

So apparently it's NOT ok to talk about women pooping in 2021. As a woman, we're used to being cut off, but this ad makes it seem like we're getting cut off when it comes to talking about our bodies. That's not OK.

From a stand point of a woman wanting to talk about her body, I fully support the unedited ad and the whole 'Poopowement' movement. When it comes to plain common decency, I'm wondering, 'do we really need to see anyone on the toilet talking about pooping? I'm just spitballing here, but I guarantee you if this commercial were about men and their daily constitutional, these ads would be way more gross. Am I right?

Just in case you haven't seen the unedited version of "Poopowerment" while watching college football, here you go. "I love pooping. I'm a woman. I poop."

You're welcome.

The commercials started running late this summer, although I saw it for the first time just recently. You'll find it running on Discovery, Hulu and Amazon Prime. If you looking for the product, you can find that at Amazon, Wal Mart and Fresh Thyme.
