The Battle of the Bands QC is March 20
The Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds and MH Entertainment bring you the Battle of the Bands QC Saturday, March 20th.
Ten local bands will be battling with quick sets of their music...with the winning band performing at the Mississippi Valley Fair in August. Yes, one of these bands will open on the grandstand for headlining act. So one of these rock bands could be opening for Shinedown!
The event is free, but I-Rock 93.5 has a VIP package that you can win. You'll score yourself a table for 8 to call your own along with a bucket of beer and I-Rock 93.5 swag. PLUS...you'll be able to join I-Rock 93.5 on stage to introduce either Been There Done That, Monroe or Alborn! You may have no talent to perform on stage (me neither) but now you can be on the stage to introduce the band at the Battle of the Bands QC. Register to win below!
Fans nominated their favorite bands on Facebook and MH Entertainment had over 145 nominations. When voting ended, the bands listed below are the ones that were in the top 10 and will perform at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 20th:
Bands and their estimated time of performance:
Far Out 3PM
Tyler Richton and High Bank Boys 3:30PM
Been There Done That 4PM
Cal Stage Band 5PM
Slick Trigger 530PM
Each band will perform for 15 minutes and be judged by a panel of 4 judges all in the music industry. One of the categories will be audience reaction/participation. So the more rock fans at the event on March 20, the more likely a rocker will open for Shinedown!
After all the bands are done with their performance, the winner will be announced around 8PM.
Check out video's from the rock bands involved at the Battle of the Bands QC below, and register to win that VIP package so you can introduce one of them on stage!
Please make sure to say you are going to the event to get updated information on the event as well as all social distancing guidelines for the event.
