Believe it or not, St. Patrick's Day will be here before you know it. The Quad Cities is known for having awesome St. Patrick's Day celebrations and parties, and one of those celebrations is returning to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. The 4th annual St. Patrick's Day Bash is returning to the fairgrounds and once again, admission is free.

On Tuesday, January 4th, officials from the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds announced that the 4th annual St. Patrick's Day Bash is returning to the fairgrounds by popular demand. Live music, fair food, a kid's zone, flying Leprachauns, a parade, and more will all be taking place at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on Friday night, March 11th, and Saturday, March 12th, 2022.

On Friday, March 11th, doors open at 7 p.m. to get the St. Patrick's Day weekend started. Project X will hit the stage at 8 p.m. with Electric Shock taking that stage after at 10:30 p.m. and closing out day 1 at 12:30 a.m.

Day 2 of the 2022 St. Patrick's Day Bash begins when doors open at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12th. Live music begins at 11:30 a.m. with Doug Brundies and lasts all night until 1 a.m. by closing out with the Dirt Road Rockers. Other bands include Bad Hair, North of 40, Casey Mussigmann, and Roadside Circus.

Admission for both days is free. The Kid's Zone will be back this year in the Iowa Building. Plus, fair food and beverages for all ages will be available for purchase.

Those who want to maximize their fun at the 4th annual St. Patrick's Day Bash can reserve a table. Table's can be reserved for $200 which includes 8 seats and 8 drink tickets. Call the fairgrounds at 563-326-5338 to reserve your table and for more details.

While 2022 will mark the 4th annual St. Patrick's Day Bash at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, this will be the second year the fairgrounds will host a St. Patrick's Day Parade. In 2021, Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds officials wanted to guarantee the Quad Cities has a St. Patrick's Day parade. The parade will return again this year and will begin at 3:15 p.m. on the fairgrounds.

Before the parade starts, make sure you look up as Flying Leprachaun skydivers will parachute onto the fairgrounds for more entertainment.
