One of the best-selling and most influential punk rock bands will be coming to the Quad Cities.  It's going to be a night of old school punk rock at Capitol Theatre when I-Rock 93.5 welcomes Social Distortion to the Quad Cities on June 29.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 18, at 10:00 a.m. right here.  You can also win them below from your concert leader, I-Rock 93.5.

Social Distortion was formed in 1978 in California.  While the band has seen many lineup changes over the years, lead singer Mike Ness has remained the one constant for over 45 years.

Joining Mike will be Jonny Wichersham, guitar, who has been with the band since 2000.  Brent Harding, bass, since 2005.  David Hidalgo, drums, since 2010.

Social Distortion has released 7 studio albums, 1 EP, 1 Live album, and 2 Compilation albums.

The band was working on their 8th album, but halfway through, Ness was diagnosed with cancer.  Ness told Guitar World, "I had rough guide volcas laid down, and when I listen to the tracks I think they're some of my best work, so I'm looking forward to finishing the album."  He also stated, "I guess the album won't be finished until I complete the tour, by which time I hope my voice will be back to full strength, which means the record probably won't be out until 2025. It seems a long way off, but it will be well worth the wait."

Plague Vendor

Social Distortion will bring Plague Vendor with them.  Described as a "post-punk band", Plague Vendor has been on the scene since 2008 with 3 full-length albums to their name.
