Sevendust have to forgo the upcoming United Kingdom leg of the "Walk the Sky" tour with Alter Bridge and Shinedown after an unspecified illness caused the hospitalization of drummer and co-vocalist Morgan Rose, the band acknowledged in a statement on Wednesday (Dec. 11).

The final 2019 leg of the tour kicks off this Saturday (Dec. 14) with a concert in Nottingham, England, before visiting other parts of the U.K., including Scotland and Wales. It wraps Dec. 21 at London's O2 Arena. While Rose is under doctor's orders not to perform these dates, Sevendust will still deliver a trio of their own "Acoustic Xmas" shows in the U.S. later this month. See the group's update toward the bottom of this post.

"UK family - It is with a heavy heart we have to say - we will not be able to join our brothers in @alterbridge & @Shinedown on our upcoming U.K. dates," the band shared this week. "Morgan is sick and in the hospital and under Dr. orders not to leave the country. We WILL make it up to you! See you at Xmas."

Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery will release the solo album God Bless the Renegades early next year, and the group themselves are working toward a new album tentatively eyed for summer 2020.

The three Sevendust Christmastime shows in the Southern U.S. at year's end were called "rare and intimate acoustic events" by the band. Get tickets and access to VIP meet-and-greets here.
