Quad Cities School Closings/Delays

It's another cold day, Quad Cities! We are under another Wind Chill Advisory on Friday, January 7th, 2022. Due to extremely cold air temperatures and wind chill temperatures, schools throughout the Quad Cities area, Eastern Iowa, and Western Illinois are delaying opening or closing.

The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for the second day in a row. The Quad Cities woke up to cold temperatures on Thursday, and Friday is no different.

Wind chill values in the Quad Cities are down to -25° and the high for Friday is 9°.

Those extremely cold temperatures and wind chill temperatures have forced schools to delay opening to students and staff or close for the entire day.
