Quad Cities Area Snowfall Totals

A lot of snow was dumped on the Quad Cities Tuesday afternoon into late Tuesday night. A sleet/rain mix followed which lasted until just after 5 a.m. this morning. Snow fall totals are being reported across the QCA and we are seeing snowfall totals up to 9" in the immediate Quad Cities metro area.

The Quad Cities area saw one heck of a snow storm last night. Fortunately, we didn't see the worst of it, but Mother Nature wanted us to finish 2020 with a bang.

On Tuesday, snow started falling in the QCA just after lunch time and it was coming down quickly. Temperatures remained in the up 20's and lower 30's throughout the storm.

After the system passed through, the immediate Quad Cities metro saw snowfall totals up to 9". In the northern part of the listening area, Maquoketa is reporting 11.5" of snowfall over the past 24 hours.

The area to see the most amount of snow from this storm was the Cedar Rapids area. Hiawatha, Mt. Vernon, and Fairfax saw 12" of snowfall.
