Before The Plot In You rocked the Capitol Theatre in Davenport, lead singer Landon Tewers took some time to chat with I-Rock 93.5.

In the latest episode of "I-Rock with Rock Stars" we talked with Landon about the history of the band (they have been around longer than you think), touring while trying to write new music, and what he'd be doing if it wasn't for music.

The Plot In You Started As The Side Project

You may have just discovered The Plot In You but they've been doing this for 15 years.  Landon actually started the band as a "side project".  He said that when he was with the other band they were already established and he wanted to try his own thing.

Now many years later Landon says guys in the band are all best friends.  He's been touring since he was 18 years old and still loves it, but he added, "It can be really boring.  There is a lot of downtime.  Usually like 20 hours of the day we aren't really doing anything."

So of course I had to ask him if he was spending any of that downtime writing new music.

The Plot In You Vol. 4 Should Already Be Done

(Side note...you were all wild at the Plot In You show.  You were crowd-surfing like crazy and having a great time.  The bands were very impressed with the energy!)

Landon told me he uses his life experiences as he writes new music.  And sometimes with him being on the road so much those experiences are not really happening.

Landon said, "I was supposed to have it (Vol. 4) done a month or two ago.  I've been doing nothing but working for the last 6 months.  I have nothing to say right now.  I've just been staring at a computer screen."

We also talked about his songwriting process which is different from how a lot of bands write, if he still goes to live shows with how much he tours, and more that you can listen to below.

The Most Polarizing Bands You Hear On I-Rock 93.5

There is a lot of different types of rock music out there and unlike pop or country, a lot of it sounds different from one song to the next. And some people get so mad about certain bands any time we talk about, post or play them. Here are those that I know are instant triggers for people.
