Thank you! What an amazing night of rock and giving in the Quad Cities. You sold out Rascal's Live for the first ever I-Rock 93.5 Stuff It & Scream benefitting the River Bend Food Bank.
Thanks to you buying tickets and donating at the event, we raised enough money to provide nearly 16,000 meals for those in need in the Quad Cities. We joke around and have a lot of fun here, but when it matters and it's time to help the Quad Cities, nobody does it better than the I-Rock family!
The Haunt
When even the other band says to the crowd, "You're lucky to see them on a stage this size.", you know it's not just some wacky DJ trying to sell tickets.
The Haunt owned that stage with a great sound, chemistry, and stage presence of a band that felt like they had been doing it for a long time. Their high-energy, quick, catchy songs poured out one after another, keeping the crowd banging along and wanting more.
Maxamillion and Anastasia Haunt play off each other so well. And Anastasia can absolutely hold a crowd in her hand with her beautiful voice and (as you'll see in the pictures below) captivating looks to the crowd.
Velvet Chains
The last time we saw these guys was for an acoustic gig at the Dac Faq. It was fantastic to have them plugged in and going full send at Stuff It & Scream.
Velvet Chains is not a down-tempo band. This is an upbeat, fun party band that will make you move and take another shot. The band mixed their powerful riffs and vocals for a great set of songs you've been hearing on I-Rock 93.5.
The guys hung out before and after their set with any fan that wanted to say hi, grab a pic, and talk. Great guys with pure rock in their souls.
Dead Sugar
If you are looking for more from Dead Sugar...give it some time. As of now, Dead Sugar only has 2 songs available for you to check out, but we got to hear everything they have coming, and it was fantastic.
Blair's voice was sweet yet very powerful to match the power of Neil's shredding guitar. The openers of the night gave all their energy to the packed house, and the crowd loved it while they were on the stage and loved talking with them after the show.
Also, I feel like we bonded cause they are from the Dallas area and I, Ryan, lived there for a while. In fact, Neil and I even know the same people. So it's like we're best friends. OK, maybe not that far, but they loved the night and what the Quad Cities brought to Stuff It & Scream!
And that was huge for me. All the bands said how amazing the night was and that it was the best show on the tour. At times, you'll hear someone from the stage say, "Oh, you gotta be louder than that if you want to be better than "insert rival city here"." But bands normally don't go out of their way to say that to the radio guy after if it wasn't true. The Quad Cities again proved why we rock harder than anyone else around.
Thank you for rocking and supporting what we do. Gobble, gobble!
