Before hitting the road to tour with Powerman 5000, Alborn rocked the Quad Cities to celebrate the release of their new EP "Push".  And the sold-out show would go down as one to remember for all the bands on the stage, and the friends we became in, and out of The Redstone Room.

It's been awesome for us in the Quad Cities to enjoy Alborn and The Forty Twos together on stage numerous times.  They both bring out the best in each other.

The Forty Twos got the night started in a perfect way with songs you can sing along with.  The guys also played us a new song and a new cover that everyone knew all the lyrics for.  They would once again end their set with "Peace of Mind", a great song that had the entire crowd saying it from their chest "we're young!"

Widow7

Widow7 continues to make their name known across the country.  With shows at Welcome To Rockville, RockFest, and more this summer, it was cool to see them play right here in the Quad Cities.

They had a great, high-energy set.  The sound was bangin'.  The lights were bright.  The crowd interaction was great.  The fog machine...was going a little too strong.  FYI to future bands, no fog at The Redstone Room.  It actually set off the smoke alarms.

The Davenport Fire Department had to show up and we all had to vacate the building.  We chilled outside for a bit and then came back in and kept rocking.  Luckily Widow7 was on their last song anyway, so we didn't miss anything.

Extra shoutout to Widow7 lead singer Mark for leading the room in a chorus of "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire..."

Discrepancies

Once we got back in, Discrepancies quickly got the stage set back up and didn't miss a beat.  Another awesome set from them in the Quad Cities as they continue to gain fans with every show in the area.

The full set was great, but the cover of "99 Problems" was the highlight for me.

The reason we all got together.  Their final QC show before hitting the road to go on tour with Powerman 5000.  And in typical Alborn fashion, they left it all on stage.

The guys played the songs people know with Cause to Create, Full Circle, and Let Me Bleed.  They also rocked all four of their new songs from the new EP "Push".  In between all that, they went deep into the archives to play some that they haven't done in a while.

It was an unforgettable, emotional night with four rising bands in the rock world.  Being able to see them in the intimate setting of The Redstone Room was a great experience and one we'll all remember for more than just the Davenport Fire Department.

Follow all these bands on their socials and add keep up with them so you can rock with them in the future.  Cause they all have very bright futures.

Alborn EP Release Party at The Redstone Room in Davenport

The party was always going to be bangin, but it turned out to also be one of the most lit concerts I-Rock 93.5 has been a part of. Alborn, Discrepancies, Widow7, and The Forty Twos fired it up on a Saturday night in downtown Davenport for an unforgettable night of rock.
