New Photos Of The Huge Iron Tee Golf Facility Coming To Bettendorf
In February, a new golf, sports, and retail facility across from the TBK Sports Complex in Bettendorf was announced. Now, construction has started, more pictures of what it will look like are here, and, we know what it will be called.
Where is the new facility being built?
If you don't spend time in the northeast side of town, you haven't seen the construction that has already started. Not only on the complex itself but also on the road. A big section of Forest Grove Dr has been closed for months as they expand from 2 lanes to 4 lanes.
The new development is coming to the corner of Middle Rd, Forest Grove Dr, and I-80. The development will expand the entire area, as seen below, with the new complex on the east side of Middle Road.
The highlight of "Iron Tee Golf".
With the name of the complex being revealed as Iron Tee Golf, one would imagine the golf facility will be the top draw. And you are correct.
The new three-level golf entertainment venue will feature TopTracer Range technology in 58 climate-controlled outdoor hitting bays.
But that's not all...not even close.
This will be a great place to watch any game with HD TVs located throughout the facility. There will also be an oversized 4K LED TV screen, capable of showing up to 6 games at once in the main bar area along with a sports ticker displaying live scoring. A perfect way for somebody to watch, or bet, on numerous games at once.
Iron Tee Golf will also feature a 10,000 square-foot state-of-the-art video gaming space, which will include an immersive virtual reality platform named “Hyperdeck VR” and “Lucky-Putt Golf”. A new tech-driven way to play mini golf.
This is just phase one for Iron Tee Golf as they also stated a "future" 18,000 Sqft outdoor common plaza area will be staged between the multi-sport fields and the golf venue.
Today (Oct 19,) at 10:00 a.m., Visit Quad Cities, the City of Bettendorf and members of the golf venue and partnership will gather for an honorary "first tee off", update on the facility and update on the road construction.
For those Quad Citizens already using the TBK Sports Complex (and the businesses already in that area) the road construction update may be the most important part of this press conference. We'll update the story at that time.
