Love John Deere? Gathering of the Green Happening in March

If you're a big fan of the big green farm equipment manufacturer that's based in Moline, you'll want to check out downtown Davenport later this month.

Gathering of the Green is happening in the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport on March 16-19. It's open to all John Deere enthusiasts. Almost 1,000 John Deere fans have signed up already!

The theme is "It's Fair Time!". A stroll through the RiverCenter will take you back to John Deere exhibits at various fairs from years past, all kinds of state and county fairs from the 1930's to the 1970's. The event was canceled last minute in 2020 because of COVID (as were most things that year) and will feature all kinds of workshops, speakers, and vendors.

If you want to go to the full conference, it's $40 and you can pay that on-site at the RiverCenter on March 16. Wednesday, you can only get full conference registration. On Thursday and Friday, you can get single-day registration to attend some of the workshops and events for $10.

This year, there's a new event happening in conjunction with Gathering of the Green. When you get admission to that event, you can also choose to get admission to the Plow City Tractor Show, which will be happening at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds at the Iowa Building during the same dates as Gathering of the Green. Daily admission for just that event will run $5 and the show will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
