La Michoacana Ice Cream in Silvis IL Celebrating Grand Reopening

After a year of being away, La Michocana Ice Cream in Silvis is celebrating a grand reopening and doing it with free ice cream.

Celebrate With La Michocana on July 6

La Michocana will give the first 100 customers a FREE Dubai Strawberry Cup (no purchase needed) on Monday, July 6, 2026, starting at 11:00 a.m.

Located at 917 1st Ave in Silvis, La Michocana is ready to serve you again with

Mangonadas, Dorilocos, Elotes, Paletas, Banana splits, and all your favorite flavors.

Ice Cream and Tacos??

Also on July 6, a new Mexican Restaurant will be opening the same day as La Michocana called El Sarape Taco y Burritos.

The La Michocana Facebook page says, "Come bring your friends, family, kids — or just yourself. Support local, enjoy real Handmade Ice cream and Tacos al pastor made the original way in the trompo!"

Mangonada - Mangoes, lime juice, mango nectar to create a slushy. The base is layered with chamoy and sprinkled with chili-lime salt.
Dorilocos - Crazy Doritos. What goes in this? It's crazy, so get ready for anything.
Elotes - Mexican sweet corn. Grilled corn smothered in a creamy mayo sauce and topped with chili powder, cheese, and lime.
Paletas - It's a popsicle...but with actual fruit and cream.
