25 years ago Slipknot released their debut album, Slipknot.  At that time they were still cramming all 9 members on small stages in clubs across Iowa and the Midwest.  Now, they are selling out arenas and heading festivals across the world.

A lot has happened in 25 years, but one thing remains the same, Slipknot rocks.  And they'll be doing it again at Knotfest 2024!

With another awesome lineup at a new location in Des Moines, it will be a wild celebration that we want you to be a part of.

Slipknot Taking It Back To The Beginning

For one night only, celebrate the 25th anniversary of Slipknot at Knotfest Iowa on September 21, 2024.

Twenty-five years after the Iowa clubs and rehearsal spaces where Slipknot honed their first album, the band is bigger than ever.  Those who witnessed those early days could justifiably have thought the band would never last this long - most artists that debut with such a burning intensity and a complete disregard for the existing paradigm, cannot last.  But Slipknot’s unapologetic ferocity spoke to an entire generation, and quicker than anyone outside the band expected, they were also speaking for that generation.  Now generations in, Slipknot’s message, songs, and art resonate even more powerfully.  This is where it all began.

The Lineup

Of course, Knotfest is all about Slipknot.  But it's also about the other bands performing on September 21, 2024.

Knotfest Iowa 2024 will have two stages, more than 11 artists, and everything else that comes with a Knotfest.

The lineup includes Slipknot, Till Lindemann, Knocked Loose, Gwar, Hatebreed, Poison The Well, Orbit Culture, Dying Wish, Zulu, Swollen Teeth, Holy Wars, and more TBA.

The Location

Two years ago Knotfest was in Indianola south of Des Moines.  This time they are taking it back to the heart of where it all began.

Knotfest Iowa will be held at Waterworks Park in downtown Des Moines. The location is centrally located and great for this historic hometown Slipknot show.
