The Peak Fitness Age For Iowa May Leave You Depressed
How old are you?". That is a question people don't want to answer the bigger the number gets as we "pass our physical prime".
But opinions are changing that a birthdate is not necessarily a body's true age. Exercise and a healthy diet can help people attain peak fitness later in life and remain ‘younger’ for a longer time.
What Is Peak Physical Age
While opinions vary, it is commonly accepted that the peak fitness ages for men and women fall between the ages of 20 and 35.
The research found that North Dakotans reach their peak fitness levels latest in life, at the age of 43 while those in Wyoming say they hit their biological peak at the tender age of 21.
As a part of the survey questions were asked about exercise habits, with a surprising 58% saying that when they do cardio training, they push themselves to the limit.

The survey also found that on average, 40% of training is devoted to cardio work, 33% to stretching (such as yoga), and 27% to building muscle.
32% of respondents said they work out simply because they enjoy doing so. 25% said they train only for health benefits, and 43% said they do so for both reasons.
What is the Quad Cities Peak Fitness Age?
The average fitness peak in the Quad Cities is 32 years old (compared to a national average of 34), which is actually considered relatively advanced when it comes to peak athletic performance. Just remember, this is average. Depends on where you are looking.
The majority of Quad Cities respondents said they feel younger than their actual (chronological) age.
"Regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle can help individuals maintain their physical and mental well-being, improve longevity, and reduce the risk of age-related diseases, which can lead to a lower biological age and an improved quality of life as we age," says Chris Higgins, editor at The Fitness Tribe, and NASM certified personal trainer.
