Dear Chicagoland gangbangers, there's a neighborhood group that will me watching your every move...So no shooting guns between 9am and 9pm. CWBChicago

This is something...A Chicago neighborhood community group is calling for people to "refrain from shooting their guns" during a designated time frame...9am - 9pm so that others aren't involved in high risk activities. WTH!

Um, excuse me Mr. Gang Guy, you know it's 8:52 am and you can't shoot your gun...C'mon people. This whole thing is referred to as "The People’s Ordinance."

“We have to start somewhere, our goal is to approach our city’s gun violence problem strategically and not all at once. Things didn’t become this way overnight, and change won’t happen overnight. “Under this ordinance, we ask that people stop associating with and glorifying’ shooters,’ stop glorifying ‘switches,’ and stop wearing those ski masks everywhere. When those who live a certain lifestyle try to hang with ‘regular’ class citizens, they put everyone at risk.” - Tatiana Atkins, co-founder of Native Sons

While yes, you do have to start somewhere...Where is this? Check out this statement:

“If people know that after a certain hour, the likelihood of them being shot by an unknown and unprovoked assailant are at a higher risk, they will be less likely to be out and about, and they may become more proactive with the supervision of their children." - Tatiana Atkins

Again, it's a start...of something. Can't wait to watch the city council with gang members talking about the pros and cons of this.
