2 Illinois Cities Top List of Worst Places to Get High in the US
A new study names the best and worst cities for adults to enjoy legal marijuana. Discover what factors determine the best places and how a total of 5 cities around Illinois did not do well in the study.
Best Cities To Get High
Mention that headline above to almost anyone in Illinois and they'll tell you, "it ain't here!"
A brand new study from LawnStarter set out to find which cities across America, including the District of Columbia, are favored by adults who regularly use marijuana products.
While there are several ways to consume cannabis, it seems like this study focused on those who smoke flower and vape, and you'll see what I mean.
The study uses only cities in states where adult recreational use is legal. Even smaller cities were removed from the study. That kept the list of places to consider down to 105.
According to WCIA, Lawnstarter compared the biggest and weed-friendliest U.S. cities based on 17 metrics that included access to top-rated dispensaries, places to enjoy it away from home like consumption lounges, bud and breakfasts (like B&Bs), and munchie relievers.

Are you surprised to see Rockford on this list? I can't speak for the other cities since I live in the 815.
I'm not sure exactly how many dispensaries, top-rated or otherwise, there are in Rockford but I'm pretty sure it's less than six.
There are ZERO consumption lounges or Bud & Breakfasts in RockVegas.

About that "muchie relievers" metric the study used. We seem pretty snack-heavy here in the 815 so I’m not sure what that’s about but regardless, Rockford is near the bottom of the list.
Three other Illinois cities landed on the WORST list.
64. Chicago
71. Naperville
95. Aurora
