Bold Robbery at Finn's Grill & Bar: Thief Caught on Camera Casually Looting the Premises
Finn's Grill & Bar took to Facebook to express their dismay and share the incident with the community. Their post read, "We were violated and casually stolen from for about 30 minutes. Unfortunately due to our own mistake!"
So, What Exactly Went Wrong?
According to Finn's, an employee accidentally left the back door unlocked and unarmed that night. This oversight provided the perfect opportunity for the thief, who made his entrance almost exactly at midnight, transforming the establishment into his personal shopping ground.
The security footage reveals a disturbing scene: the thief begins his heist while casually smoking, then proceeds to roam the premises. He systematically emptied three cash registers and filled a bag with expensive goods. To add insult to injury, he even donned an employee's green hat and used their backpack to carry his loot.
Caught And Arrested
Due to the clear footage and swift response from the community and law enforcement, the thief was quickly identified. The suspect, 40-year-old Patrick Ray Poff, was soon apprehended and charged with Theft in the 2nd degree. He was booked into Scott County Jail, with a bond set at $5,000.
