Iowa Natives Are All In “The Bachelor” Franchise This Fall
This fall, two Iowans will be featured in "The Bachelor" franchise.
Des Moines Register reports that Bloomfield, Iowa native Mercedes Northup will be appearing on the new season of "Bachelor In Paradise", which starts in September. The show is just like "The Bachelor", just set on a gorgeous beach. Always with perfectly attractive people.
Mercedes is 25 and now lives in Nashville. She was on the most recent (Zach's) season of "The Bachelor". She wasn't chosen for a one-on-one date during her time on the show. When she met Zach, she made it clear she's from Iowa and brought a pig with her to the first impression.
"Bachelor In Paradise" starts on September 28th on ABC.
Let's Not Forget Iowa's Golden Bachelor
The other Iowan single looking for love on reality TV this fall is the first-ever Golden Bachelor, 71-year-old Gerry Turner.
Gerry lives in Indiana now but he's from Iowa, as he told Bachelor Nation. He told the outlet:
I love playing pickleball and I play around three times a week. I can get very competitive and each week I believe I prove age isn’t a factor! I also love golf, bowling, and having breakfast with my group of close friends every Friday morning; we call ourselves ‘The Old Farts Club.'
Making your life easy, Golden Bachelor will premiere the same night as Bachelor In Paradise: September 28th on ABC at 8:00 p.m. CT.
