According to ABC 7 Chicago, there is a new spin-off McDonald's restaurant called CosMc's opening in suburban Chicago. The restaurant will be in Bolingbrook, Illinois, and appears to be a purple and yellow colored building, the article goes on to say...

"In the analyst call about the company's second-quarter financial results, McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski announced the fast food chain will begin testing CosMc's, which he described as "a small format concept with all the DNA of McDonald's but its own unique personality."...The concept, driven by McDonald's new business ventures team, will begin testing in "a small handful of sites" in select locations next year, Kempczinski said."

What is on the Menu?

We don't know, the article mentions how we should find out more about these spin-off CosMc's restaurants by the end of 2023. In this YouTube video from ABC 7 Chicago, they mention how there is speculation this CosMc's restaurant will focus on baked goods and coffee, check out the video here...

Well, this is certainly unexpected... I would have never thought McDonald's would do something like this. These are only test restaurants in a small number of locations, but I feel like if they focus on being a competitor to Dunkin with coffee, baked goods, and simple breakfast & lunch items it could be very successful!
