Illinois Town Among Top 10 Cities In America That Should Be Bulldozed
If you had the power to completely demolish a city and give it a second life, what city would you choose? Better yet, what Illinois city would you pick?
We've talked about East St. Louis being one of the worst cities to call home in America, Aurora as the best city to live the "American Dream", and Illinois being one of the best states for singles...
But what about Illinois cities that need a restart button?
I have never given it much thought because I have lived in the Land of Lincoln my entire life. Not sure if I could pick, especially not my hometown.
After coming across this video, people felt very strongly about bulldozing all sorts of cities across the United States - including one Illinois city.
This list is 100% opinion-based from people online. Don't let it get you too worked up!
Here are a few that made the list:
#1: Oakland, California
Housing is expensive, cost of living is through the roof, and crime rate is extremely bad - 175% above the National average. Dang.
#2: Camden, New Jersey
Almost 40% of this city lives BELOW the poverty line and the crime rate is 60% ABOVE the National average (better than Oakland lol).
Now, what about in Illinois? What city was the most mentioned that made the Top 10 list of cities in America that should be bulldozed?
It was only a matter of time before someone swooped in and shed a negative light on Rockford again. It is a never ending cycle, I swear!
The YouTuber says Rockford has shown up more frequently on negative lists lately.
Plus, Rockford has a "Quality of Life" score of 51%. He says if your city scores under 70%, you are not in the right place to live... OUCH.
On top of that, how long can someone REALLY live in Rockford before they are a victim of a violent crime? The crime rate is 92% above the National average and violent crime rate 203% above.... holy sh*t...
What do you think? After knowing Rockford, unfortunately, made the Top 10 list of cities in America that should be bulldozed, do you agree we should hit the restart button?
