We may be getting the weekend started with some rain.  And some storms.

Thunderstorms are expected to roll through the area Friday afternoon into night.  The storms could produce heavy rain, flash floods and more river flooding.  There is also the potential for strong winds and large hail.

As of June 25 the Quad Cities has received 4.21 inches of rain.  This is right on our normal June average of 4.19.  But based on where you live, that could be way more or less as the showers have been spotty over the month.

Keep an eye on the sky and radar tomorrow.  If the storms start early (currently projected for 4pm) it could be the perfect reason to leave work early and avoid driving in any hazardous conditions.
