Did you know there is a a town called Uranus in Missouri?
You can take a trip to a fudge shop in Uranus, Missouri. But(t) wait... there is more to see in Uranus, Missouri than just a fudge shop.
I had no idea there was a town in the Show-Me State of Missouri called Uranus. But there is a town called Uranus, Missouri and it seems like a brilliant little place.
According to Google Maps, Uranus, Missouri is located between Springfield and St. Louis off highway 44. Uranus seems like an awesome place to visit because they seem to have fully embraced the weirdness that comes with being named Uranus. The town has a website called Uranusmissouri.com, and on the site they say...
"Uranus is a pit-stop like no other! Exploring Uranus is an experience the whole family will enjoy with attractions to entertain family members of all ages with a sense of humor, fun, and adventure. Thanks for Picking Uranus!"
There are fun things to do in Uranus including the Uranus Fudge Factory and General Store, the Uranus Sideshow Museum, and an escape room called... you guessed it Escape Uranus. The fun in Uranus seems to never stop!
This has to be the most fun I have ever had writing an article for Townsquare Media. In all seriousness, however, I love this kind of place because they have made something out of nothing. If the town was just Smithville, or Troy, or insert other generic names here they would have nothing to entice people to stop and spend money in their area.
