Every Friday at 6:00 pm you get the chance to host your own hour on I-Rock 93.5.  You get to choose your playlist and come in and talk about the songs.  All you need to do is sign up here and then watch your email.  We'll get you in here...eventually!

Question one - Who are you?

I am death metal Dan. Your local knuckle dragging head banging metal maniac. I am guitarist/vocalist of the bbq death metal band Pit Lord as well as bassist/vocalist of Rezinator.  I’m excited to bring a massively heavy playlist to the quad cities.

Question two - Why do you love hard rock?

I love hard rock because it can be exciting, complex, dynamic, emotional, and powerful all at the same time. Music is an incredible, individual experience for everyone. What I feel from a song can be completely different from someone else and neither of us is wrong.

Question three - Who is your favorite band/artist?

As a music junkie, this is impossible to answer. For me, it’s gotta be Fear Factory, Dimmu Borgir, Rammstein or Slayer…or Death, or Sepultura or Bolt Thrower, or 20 other bands I love.

Question four - What is the best concert you've ever seen?

Gotta be Rammstein. They put on the most incredible show. Everything from the songs, sound quality, and of course pyrotechnics they are hands down the best live PERFORMANCE in my book. Tightest/most talented band I’ve ever seen. Psycroptic.

My Playlist:

  1. Kings of the Carnival Creation - Dimmu Borgir
  2. Demanufactured - Fear Factory
  3. Flattening of Emotions - Death
  4. Ich tu dir weh- Rammstein
  5. Homage for Satan - Deicide
  6. Inside the Wire - Bolt Thrower
  7. Arise - Sepultura
  8. Black Seeds on Virgin Soil - Old Man’s Child
  9. From Skin to Liquid - Cannibal Corpse
  10. Piece by Piece - Slayer
  11. Stormcrow - Benediction
  12. Euphorophobia - Inhuman Condition
  13. Clarity through deprivation - Suffocation

The Most Polarizing Bands You Hear On I-Rock 93.5

There is a lot of different types of rock music out there and unlike pop or country, a lot of it sounds different from one song to the next. And some people get so mad about certain bands any time we talk about, post or play them. Here are those that I know are instant triggers for people.

The Worst First World Places in the World Everyone Has Been To

These are not the worst cities, states, and countries. No. They are actual places. Physical places that you either have to be in life or that you choose to be in life that might be getting you somewhere better, but are just the absolute First World Worst.
