Death Angel Act III Tour Coming To Capitol Theatre

Old School Thrash Metal is coming to the Capitol Theatre in Davenport on November 29th with a special show for the Quad Cities.

Death Angel is bringing the "Act III Tour" to town and will perform the album "Act III" in its entirety.  Death Angel will be joined by special guests VIO-LENCE, Lions at the Gate, and Misfire.

Death Angel

Among the youngest bands ever to storm the metal genre, Death Angel has come to be known as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the thriving Bay Area Thrash Metal Scene in the early 1980s, an era when one could catch Cliff Burton at the front of the stage at Ruthie's Inn banging his head to Death Angel's inventive style, and speedy, complex arrangements.

The band released what is widely regarded as one of the most original and accomplished thrash metal albums ever recorded, "Act III." The record pushed the limits of the genre to create something truly unique, a definitive work that is essential to any metal fan's music collection. Death Angel's masterful songwriting ability was once again on display nationwide in 1990, as the videos for "Seemingly Endless Time' and 'Room With A View' saw heavy rotation on MTV.

VIO-LENCE

Another early '80s thrash band that came out of the San Francisco Bay area, VIO-LENCE (yes, all capital letters on that), will be along for the ride on the Act III tour.

Lions at the Gate

It's not all old school on November 29, at the Capitol Theatre.  Lions at the Gate formed in 2021 and is making a name for itself in the metal scene.  The three original members of the band, Cristian Machado – vocals, Diego Verduzco – rhythm guitar, and Ahrue Luster – lead guitar, all left the band Ill Nino in 2019 to start Lions at the Gate.

Misfire
